Tours

Island Man Taxis & Tours specialises in private custom made tours so you can enjoy the day you want, not the day that the tour operator wants to give you.  We are completely flexible & will try to make sure we show you everything you want to see, & more besides.  We hope you will find the information on this site useful in helping to plan your perfect day, but please feel free to ask if there is anything not covered or if you have any questions, I am also happy to discuss with you or to suggest other things that may be of interest.

 

All tours include as standard:

Some tours will also include the use of equipement, for example snorkling gear or where time on your own is included, for example tours which include shopping or Friday Night Jump Up a mobile phone will be included to make arranging your pick-up easy & hassle free.

 

NB  The cost of entry into attractions or for activities are NOT included, these should be made locally direct to the attraction.

 

Suggested Tours

 

To help in your planning here are some suggestions for your perfect day out.

 

Soufriere Tour (Full Day)

On leaving your accomodation we will take the short drive to the Morne with panoramic views overlooking the city of Castries, this will be your first opportunity of the day to take some stunning photographs so remember to keep your  camera handy.  From Castries we make our way to our next stop, the world famous Marigot Bay which provided the backdrop for the 1967 Dr Dolittle film starring Rex Harrison.  Next we make our way into the Rousseau Valley where we stop again, this time in a Banana Plantation, you will get to see where your bananas come from, how they grow & learn a little about how they are produced.  We now head down to 2 little fishing villages, Anse La Raye & Canaries.  These lettle villages give a real insight into every day life in St Lucia.  Finally we arrive in Soufriere, Home of the Pitons.  We will first go to the Mud Baths where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a revitalising mineral bath, be warned however, please wear an old swiming costume as the mud has ben known to stain some more delicate bathing costumes.  From here we go to the Tet Paul trail, from where you can enjoy some stuning views of the Pitons.  This is a very gentle hike and takes around 45 minutes to complete.  Tet Paul has been voted the No 1 attraction in St Lucia on TripAdvisor.  We now head back into the town where we will stop for lunch (Not included in the price) where you will have the chance to sample some authentic St Lucian cuisine in a local restaurant.  To wind off the day we will make our last stop at one of the islands waterfalls, were you will have the opportunity to bathe before returning to your resort.

 

North Tour ( Half Day)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This exciting Tour starts in Gros Islet with a chance to see the town & it's beach front.  We then proceed to the northern point of the island Cap Estate, were we make our way through the $million houses & luxury hotels on our way to Cas en Bas Beach, were we may get to watch the horse back riders & view the Atlantic Ocean. This beach is also were the late Amy Winehouse spent some of her happiest days while visiting St Lucia.   Your trip then culminates at Pigeon Island which is a National Landmark & has numerous reminders of St Lucia's military history.

If you are short of time, but want to experience some of St Lucia's finest natural beauty, it's waterfalls that is not a problem.  We offer a 1/2 Day tour stopping at 3 of the finest St Lucia has to Offer.  The Sault or Errard Falls at Dennery, LaTill Falls at Micoud & Finally Anse La Raye Falls.  All are stunning, we bet you won't be able to choose your favourite.

Alot of visitors think that St Lucia is all about the Pitons & Fabulous beaches.  How wrong can you be?  There is a wide range of activities for you to enjoy.  Among these you might enjoy

 

Wet & WildScuba diving & snorkeling as well as the latest craze Snuba & Sea Trek Helmet Diving!.  Dolphin & Whale watching tours are also available as well as Deep Sea Fishing. Windsurfing, Kitesurfing & Jet Skiing are also widely available.  

 

On Wheels-  For those that enjoy their adventures on 4 wheels there are a number of Companies offering ATV  & Buggie Safaries as well as Segway trips.

 

Sporty - A range of other sports are also available, The National Tennis Centre & The St Lucia Golf & Coutry Club are both located in Cap Estate, Squash is available at the Yacht Club, located next to the Police Station in Rodney Bay.  Horse Riding is available at several locations on the island.  

 

Back to Nature  - For the nature lovers amoungst us.  The Latille Nature Experience, The Rain Forest Aerial Tram Ride & Hike, Mamiku Gardens & Diamond Botanical Gardens & Finally The Gros Piton Hike.

 

Adrenalin Rush - Who can ignore ziplining!

 

Eat like a Lushan - There are a number of activities for those wanting to enjoy activities that tourists usually miss.  Why not take the opportunity to  do something a bit different?  There are several places offering the chance to learn to cook like a Lushan as well as the chance to make your own chocolate from scratch!
